REQUIRED ANNUAL NOTICE OF CTE OPPORTUNITIES
CLARE-GLADWIN REGIONAL EDUCATION SERVICE DISTRICT- CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION OFFERINGS
The U.S. Office of Civil Rights Guidelines regarding Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 require all school districts to notify the public annually of Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings and to give assurance of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, handicap or limited proficiency in English.
The following state-approved Career and Technical Education programs are available to high school students in Clare & Gladwin Counties for the 2017-2018 school year:
- Automotive Technology
- Business Management
- Construction Trades
- Criminal Justice
- Culinary Arts
- Digital Media
- Education Occupations
- Health Occupations
CTE Students may also enroll in the following dual enrollment programs at Mid-Michigan Community College:
- Welding
- Advanced Integrated Manufacturing (AIM)
Interested students should consult with their school counselor concerning prerequisites for these programs. All Career and Technical Education programs and other non-CTE occupational programs follow the Board of Education policies of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, handicap or limited proficiency in English in all activities and in employment.
