Career Day set for March 9

The Clare-Gladwin Career & Technical Education program is sponsoring its annual Eighth Grade Career Day on Wednesday, March 9 at Mid Michigan Community College – Harrison Campus.

Eighth-graders from the Clare-Gladwin Regional Education Service District’s five local school districts – Beaverton, Clare, Farwell, Gladwin and Harrison – will attend Career Day. Students will spend time discussing CTE programs, learning about college opportunities and speaking with working professionals in several career pathways, including Arts & Communications, Business, Management, Marketing & Technology, Engineering/Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, Health Sciences, Human Services and Natural Resources and Agriscience. 

Students are encouraged to investigate both traditional and non-traditional career opportunities relating to their interests.

This event is sponsored by CTE, CGRESD, Mid Michigan Community College and an Educational Talent Search grant.

Career Day 2016 activities run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
