New Cabins Built by CTE Construction Students Now Open at Gladwin City Parks
On Monday, September 23, 2024, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of two new cabins constructed by the Clare-Gladwin CTE Construction Trade students for Gladwin City Parks/Campground. The cabins were completed in the spring and were successfully transported to the campground, highlighting the effective teamwork involved in this project.
"This project demonstrates the strong collaboration between Gladwin City, the Parks Commission, and our CTE program," said CTE Director Eric Johnson. "This was a great opportunity for our students to showcase the skills they've learned in their CTE program while also contributing to the community. I want to thank the City Park, our CTE Construction Trades Instructor Josh Myers, Paraeducator Phil Smith, Program Coordinator Clint Colosky, and all the students who played a vital role in this initiative."
The project not only highlights the technical expertise of the CTE Construction class but also reinforces the importance of community engagement in education. The successful completion of these cabins provides valuable resources for local residents and visitors alike, enhancing the recreational offerings of Gladwin City.
